State Board of Technical Education). It focuses on practical skills, labs, and industry-oriented

Who is eligible for Diploma Engineering?
Students must be 10th (SSC) pass. HSC (11th–12th) is not required. Admission is usually based on
10th standard marks.
What is the process from school to diploma?
Students can directly join diploma after 10th standard. 10th (SSC) ® Diploma (3 years – MSBTE) ® Degree Engineering (Direct 2nd Year).
Does diploma replace 11th–12th (HSC)?
No, diploma does not replace HSC, but HSC is not required for diploma. Diploma is an alternative
technical education path after 10th.
Is MSBTE Diploma recognized?
Yes. MSBTE diploma is government-recognized, AICTE-approved, and valid for jobs and higher studies.
